Boy Scouts

The Kiwanis Club of Tampa encourages at-risk youth to succeed. One great organization we support is the Boy Scouts. In 1997 we began sponsorship of inner city scouting through the Gulf Ridge Council of the Boy Scouts of America. We support Troop 64 First Baptist of College Hill. Our members give time with the scouts and money for uniforms and supplies so the youths can enjoy the benefits of scouting.

With our club’s help, these youth have been going camping for 10 years now and have become a recognized troop in our community. Troop 64 has been recognized at many events including the Martin Luther King Breakfast every year by doing the color guard.
