Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament
Our club hosts an annual Golf Tournament in May at
Bay Palms Golf Course at MacDill Air Force Base. The tournament, which is a four-person scramble format, raises money for the Kiwanis Foundation, which awards scholarships. Over the past decade, our club has awarded more than $185,000 in scholarships for Hillsborough County high school students who plan to attend college in the fall. Last year, we were able to award $24,000 in scholarships. This year, we hope to match or exceed that amount.
Our upcoming tournament will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start, and includes lunch and dinner. There are also contests for a hole in one, closest to the pin, putting and longest drive. It is a “fun” raiser and a fund-raiser; we’re known for giving every golfer a prize!
If you would like to make the tournament a success, here are some ways to help:
- Enter the tournament as a Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze Sponsor or Individual Player
- Advertise your business with a program advertisement.
- Donate raffle and door prizes: gift certificates; merchandise; free services; etc. (preferred value $25 or above).
- If you can’t make it or do not play golf, you can still participate by sponsoring the Golf Tournament Banquet!
