Kiwanis' Annual Chicken Barbecue Fundraiser

Annual BBQKiwanis-style barbecue is a team effort: ticket selling, cooking, packing, distributing and delivering, with a side of bonding, fellowship and fun as we prepare 15,000-plus boxed barbecue chicken dinners for hungry people at Raymond James Stadium. The Kiwanis Club of Tampa started cooking up barbecue in 1968 with one single grill. Now you’ll find lots of volunteers working around the clock on the fourth Thursday of October for the event.Annual BBQ

As one of our club's major events, the BBQ allows us to fund most of our service projects such as our Children's Christmas Party, our B.U.G. (Bring Up Grades) program, our construction projects, our scholarship programs, Annual BBQBe Wise-Immunize and organizations such as Joshua House, The Spring, Metropolitan Ministries, the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. In fact, on the day of our barbecue, we give Meals on Wheels kitchen volunteers a break for the day. Our club takes care of dinner for Meals on Wheels recipients, allowing the organization to close its kitchen for one day.

Tickets are available from a Kiwanis Club member or you can contact us and we will mail them to you.
